My name is Julie Stajich. Over the past seven years I have worked in several different educational environments. At each institution, I have demonstrated the ability to adjust to the students’ needs and the staffs' expectations.
I have graduated Cum Laude from Oakland University where I obtained degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology. In addition, I have earned minors in Science and Language Arts. I am currently enrolled at Oakland University, where I am working towards a Master Degree in Educational Leadership.
Currently I am furthering my professional development at Laurus Academy where I currently teach in a sixth grade self-contained classroom. I have worked diligently to relate my lessons to my students’ world, as well as allowing them to build social and academic skills through group activities. I have focused on leading by example, laying a foundation for positive classroom behavior and being flexible with my teaching style. I believe my strong communication skills enabled me to excel within this environment. The experience has proven to be challenging, but most rewarding.
It is this passion for my craft and innate ability to interact with children that I feel makes me a strong candidate for a teaching position. I appreciate your time and hope to discuss career opportunities with you soon.
