An education leader promotes the success of every student by advocating, nurturing and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.

I feel passionate about this standard.  I believe if the following two items were improved on in many schools, the climates would be warmer.
First: throughout my academic career I have witnessed first-hand how important it is to be seen when you are an administrator.  Staff and students need to know you are present.  Opportunities present themselves several times throughout the day; including transitions in the hallways, lunch time, classroom rounds, and sporting events.
Second: too many times teacher observations are not meaningful.  As an administrator, it is our responsibility to provide feedback teachers need in order to improve student learning.
