An education leader promotes the success of every student by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by all stakeholders.

While completing my internship I had the opportunity to participate in several PLC meetings held through the MISD.  These meetings were comprised of several educational leaders from the Metro Detroit area.  One leader spoke the following words, which captures the essence of this standard.  "In the past education was viewed as Compulsory Schooling: you must go the school, but learning is optional.  Now it is called Compulsory Learning: All students can learn and be motivated."
