As leaders it is incredibly important to communicate with the families that belong to our school community. It is important to not only discuss negative behaviors/concerns with parents; they need to be aware of the positives as well. It is necessary for schools to make connections with the student and their parents.

Identify and use diverse community resources to improve school programs and meet the needs of all students.
Articulate a vision of school leadership characterized by respect for children and their families.
Involve families and caregivers in decision making about their children's education.
